Thetis, the princess of the Carnes Empire, was filled with dreams as she prepared for her upcoming wedding to her beloved fiancé, Romain.
One night, after urgently granting her seal at her fiancé’s request—because he claimed her parents had been attacked by an enemy nation—the imperial crown prince, her brother Theodore, was falsely accused of treason and killed.
Romain had coveted the throne and used Thetis to eliminate the imperial family and seize power.
Confined to a monastery by the newly crowned Emperor Romain, Thetis fell into despair and attempted to end her life. But instead, she resolved to take revenge and returned to the capital.
Forced by Romain to take the position of Empress, Thetis suddenly comes face-to-face with a face she had long forgotten.
This man’s appearance was never part of my plan.
No—it should never have been.
The last thing I need is an old, broken connection interfering with my revenge.
