At the far end of a distant continent lies a land covered in eternal snow, ruled by Archduke Gizel J. Vendard of Oldenrant. With his cold appearance, overwhelming magical prowess, and even grotesque rumors claiming that monster blood runs through his veins, everyone fears him. Yet few know that what Gizel truly desires is nothing more than a peaceful daily life, immersing himself in magical research in a quiet study, accompanied by a warm cup of tea.
That modest wish of his is shattered by an unexpected bride from the southern edge of the continent, Cornia.
Appearing in place of her runaway younger sister, wearing a bridal wreath, is Cornia’s illegitimate child, Rensley Malorsen.
After briefly hiding to avoid having his existence discovered, this cheerful and talkative knight, who dashes all around the castle with sunshine-bright blond hair fluttering behind him, keeps stirring small disturbances within the Ice Castle that once seemed destined to remain eternally silent.
Even though it would have been reasonable to drive him out immediately for a fraudulent marriage, Gizel finds himself increasingly unable to take his eyes off Rensley, who smiles brightly and chatters away at even the smallest kindness.
Rensley, who was denied his existence from the moment he was born and ultimately came to Oldenrant as if abandoned, begins to harbor affectionate feelings for Gizel because of his indifferent yet gentle demeanor.
But just as he becomes aware of his feelings, the moment of parting draws near…
To the coldest land on the continent, yet the place where the warmest things gather, will Rensley be able to return to Oldenrant once more?
